Flowers From The Cemetery
Hello friends! Sorry for not posting for a while- like I said, I'm having weird hesitation when I look at my new photos. Being a teenager is odd. However, I'm totally digging how pale I'm looking. My friend recently said that I've transformed into a "vampire queen" and I love that. I'm in this peculiar period in my life where I purposely like looking sick. Once a week I'll deliberately draw dark circles under my eyes and around my entire crease with copper eyeshadow so I can achieve this "terribly sick" look. I don't know, but I love how I can piss people off with my looks. A lot of people end up looking at me, I can't tell if it's admiration or disgust. But I know for sure how much I love being strange. I'm writing random phrases on my neck with eyeliner sometimes. I go to school wearing all black ensembles with velvet and mismatching textures but it ends up working. I think people respect it more than anything, though. I honestly thought people, especially adults, would look at me like some "liberal art hipster trash" but surprisingly they don't! They think it's creative, self expressive, especially the story about my hair. (How I closed my eyes and just chopped it off randomly) So basically I'm getting mixed reactions, but it doesn't really bother me, because I really like the way I'm expressing myself right now, and that's really all that should matter.
That aside, I'm wearing an old dress I got from a clothing exchange! I think you can tell how old it is by the silhouette, it's hard to find dresses that are tiered now. I love the paisley print, usually it's a super preppy print but in this look I've made it boho. The tag says it's from Forever 21. I'm wearing a textured, crimson cardigan from Charlotte Russe. Dark reds are one of my favorites, and I love the drapeyness of it. You can definitely use it to smack people in the face. I'm wearing a tattoo choker from my sister, and paired it with a black chain necklace. I'm wearing suede ankle booties to look taller.
(I apologize in advance that this post is inevitably long) In other news, I made the BEST, MOST EPIC Halloween / horror punk / playlist. I'll have to show you that in another blog post, however.
